It seems astonishing that almost a year has past since the 2010 SBAAT lunch, my first as Chairman.  I am sure those of you who joined us on the day will agree it was both a fantastic turn out and great atmosphere.  As always our Patron delivered a relevant and topical speech, our award recipients were extremely deserving and the bidding at our auction enthusiastic. 

I am enormously grateful to our headline sponsor HSBC who are again supporting us this year.  In addition, Rory Bremner and The Raven Quartet kept us all entertained.  Most importantly we succeeded in raising in excess of £50,000 for our selected charities which I am sure you will agree is a terrific achievement under the current economic circumstances.   

The success of the day would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication and commitment of the Trustees, Selection Committee, the event organiser, the staff at Prestonfield, the various volunteers and of course most importantly, you our table hosts and guests.
