About the Awards - 2008

The SBAAT Lunch 2008 was held at the magnificent Dundas Castle on 22nd May.  Over 550 people attended the lunch in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal where the winners were announced.

 

2008 Winners

Willie Haughey, Executive Chairman of City Refrigeration Holdings Ltd, collected the Main Achievement Award

after demonstrating a remarkable period of business performance culminating in a £230 million turnover in the year ending December 2007.            

 

In the International Award category, sponsored by The Scotsman, Mark Selway, Chief Executive of Weir Group, collected the prize

following an impressive global performance which has seen the business quadruple its market value since Selway was appointed in

2001.  The company employs over 8500 people worldwide and turnover in the year to December 2007 was in excess of £1 billion.

 

 

Keith Neilson (39) is co-founder and Chief Executive of Craneware and collected the Young Achievement Award for the growth

 and success of his software development company.  Craneware helps to identify errors in healthcare billing systems and has

increased client's gross revenue by identifying millions of pounds in lost revenue each year.
